We can make a difference..

On Friday, December 30, 2011 0 comments

Only change is permanent here in this world. Everybody changes. Some are for better and some are for worst. We can make differences within our selves for our own will.
Being a student is quite hard for me. You need to sleep late at night because of so much work to do and sometimes you need to sacrifice a lot of time for you to study all your lessons. But despite of those hardships, there is always a lesson which can make us change. I didn't dream to be a politician someday, all i want to do is to be a leader, a role model and a key for some people in starting a new and better life. But before that, i'll start the change in myself.
All of us can make a difference based on what we want and what can make us happy. But we must consider the negative sides before doing it. We must remember that there is always a room for change and improvements.

climate change...

On 0 comments

Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner.
Sea level rise, Global temperature rise, Warming oceans, Shrinking ice sheets, Declining Arctic sea ice, Glacial retreat, Extreme events, Ocean acidification. These are just some of the evidences that rapid climate change is compelling.
We cannot stop climate change but we can use existing technological and policy options to help slow the rate of climate change and to adapt its effects. Let's walk hand and hand to make a change. Better to start now before it's too late.

Chemergy: Chemistry and Science Club in Synergy

On Tuesday, September 20, 2011 0 comments

As we are leaving the lower years in our high school life we define chemistry as the study of composition, structure, properties, and interactions of matter. We all know that chemistry plays an important role in our lives for without it we will be nothing. You and everything around you can be explained by chemistry. And sure that man is still evolving and can not live without it. One of the aims of chemistry is to produce materials that are vital to the industrialized world in able to feel and experience a comfort daily living.
Chemistry has had an immeasurable influence on human life. Chemical techniques were used to isolate useful natural products and to find new ways to utilize them and to developed for synthesizing completely new substance that were either better than the natural ones and could completely replace them more cheaply. These are just an example of what chemistry can do.
One of the most active organizations in our school is the science club because of their unending activities. we can't deny the fact that this club is a successful one for it has very talented and smart student leaders and club advisers also. Every movement of this club can greatly affect the life of thousand students. Joining in their activities makes and transforms you into something. You might not believe it at first but it's true.
Synergy? When we say synergy it is the working together of two or more people, organizations, or things, specially when the result is greater that the sum of their individual efforts or capabilities. Chemistry itself can do many things what more if it unites with science club. By the means of the voice of the science clubbers it will be easier to extend to the students and even the people around us the true importance of chemistry in our daily lives.

We are now living in a modernized world, a world that has come to the eve of its futuristic existence-where almost everything is accessible with a click on your cellular phones, i-pods,laptops and all other gadgets that bring every bit of information right to your fingertips. Innovations come and go not only in the aspect of technology, but to all other aspects of life as well and even to the event of protecting and prolonging life itself. But do we ever think what lead us to all these comforts of daily living? All of these are products of a progressive, innovative and imaginative minds.
Teaching as profession was indeed tagged as the noblest of all professions. For without teachers, there would never be other professions and perhaps, man is still evolving in the stone age. But how are our teachers being treated nowadays? Do we give them the respect that is due to them or do we just disregard all what they are sacrificing for us? As a student, I can honestly say that at first, I can't measure how I look up at my teachers. I have often looked up to them as my mentor, butas days go by, I can feel that they are also my second parents, for they do not only provide us with all the knowledge we need but they also ensure our safety while we are inside school premises. They even make sure that we are nurtured with values-to be of good morale and be good citizens in the furture.
With all the efforts and sacrifices and with all the time they offer, which is much more that the time they spend inside the four walls of our classrooms, for they go beyond that especially during preparations for every competitions. All these are tasks that are not paid for bu their monthly pay checks. So now, I can clearly and proudly express how I look up onto them. For me, they are not only my mere teachers and mentors but indeed, they are my heroes. And I strongly believe that HERO would only be the suitable word to describe them and the most appreciated one as well.

PNoy's SONA 2011

On Tuesday, August 2, 2011 0 comments

It had been a year since President NoyNoy Aquino  assumed the presidency. Our main question perhaps is what have he done during his first 356 days? What are his plans for our country in the next five years.
First and foremost I would like to applaud PNoy for his use of our national language, Filipino although it would be better if he would also learn and use other dialects like Cebuano and others in his future SONA. Remember that our country is rich in dialects, thus it is about time that our own president recognizes this. He had used Filipino in his entire speech which means that the State of The Nation Address is truly for the Filipino people and not just a means to impress foreigners.
Reflecting to PNoy's SONA 2011, I believe it's about time for us to be proactive instead of just blabbering on and on about the government flaws. It's not wrong to point out what you believe is wrong with it. However, it's important to think before you speak. You have to learn your facts thoroughly and make sure you have a deep conviction to your statement. Being perssimistic for the wrong reasons is like backstabbing your boss whenever he's out of earshot; it doesn't help the company at all. Same goes for our country. Besides, have you ecer asked yourself , "What have I done for the betterment of our country? " Sure President Aquino has major goals yet to achieve during his term, but he definitely couldn't do it alone. He needs our support as much as we need him.

Isulong ang Breastfeeding: Tama, Sapat at Ekslusibo

On Wednesday, July 13, 2011 0 comments

The experience of breastfeeding is special for so many reasons – the joyful bonding with your baby, the cost savings, and the health benefits for both mother and baby. Babies nowadays are easily getting sick.Do you think breastfeeding has something to do with it? And why is it so important to give it to the babies?
We are now living in a modern world. New products have been created by our own inventors. One example of it is the milk. Groceries are full of commercial milks in different brands. Some mothers use those commercial ones as substitute for breast milk. We all know that Breastfeeding is the normal way of providing young infants with the nutrients they need for healthy growth and development. Virtually all mothers can breastfeed, provided they have accurate information, and the support of their family, the health care system and society at large.
Colostrum, the yellowish, sticky breast milk produced at the end of pregnancy, is recommended as the perfect food for the newborn, and feeding should be initiated within the first hour after birth.
Mils by our mother can't just be substituted by any commercial ilks. Breast milk is really the best for the babies. Let us therefore promote breastfeeding to the mommies out there.
